By downloading or using the The One Thing: Get Things Done app, these terms will automatically apply to you – you should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app.
Intellectual Property
You’re not allowed to copy or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You’re not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app, and you also shouldn’t try to translate the app into other languages or make derivative versions. The app itself, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Santiago Tacoronte.
Service Modifications
Santiago Tacoronte is committed to ensuring that the app is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the app or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the app or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.
Security & Responsibility
The The One Thing: Get Things Done app stores and processes personal data that you have provided to us, to provide our Service. It’s your responsibility to keep your phone and access to the app secure. We therefore recommend that you do not jailbreak or root your phone, which is the process of removing software restrictions and limitations imposed by the official operating system of your device. It could make your phone vulnerable to malware/viruses/malicious programs, compromise your phone’s security features and it could mean that the app won’t work properly or at all.
Connectivity
Certain functions of the app will require the app to have an active internet connection. The connection can be Wi-Fi or provided by your mobile network provider. Santiago Tacoronte cannot take responsibility for the app not working at full functionality if you don’t have access to Wi-Fi, and you don’t have any of your data allowance left.
Updates & Termination
At some point, we may wish to update the app. The app is currently available on Android & iOS – the requirements for the both systems may change, and you’ll need to download the updates if you want to keep using the app. Santiago Tacoronte does not promise that it will always update the app so that it is relevant to you and/or works with the version that you have installed on your device. We may also terminate use of it at any time without giving notice of termination to you.
2. Privacy Policy
Introduction
Santiago Tacoronte built the The One Thing: Get Things Done app as an Ad Supported app. This SERVICE is provided by Santiago Tacoronte at no cost and is intended for use as is. This page is used to inform visitors regarding my policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use my Service.
Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, I may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:
- Name
- Email Address
- User IDs (assigned by Firebase)
- Profile Pictures (if you choose to upload one)
Data Storage: Unlike local-only apps, this app uses Firebase (Google Cloud) to sync your data (Ideas, Scores, and Priority Lists) across devices. This information is stored securely in our cloud database to provide the core service functionality.
Third-Party Services
The app does use third-party services that may collect information used to identify you.
Log Data
Whenever you use my Service, in a case of an error in the app I collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
Service Providers
I may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, provide the Service on our behalf, or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Data Disposal and Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
You have the full right to control your data and can request deletion at any time.
- Instant In-App Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated cloud data permanently via the ‘Delete Account’ button in the Profile screen. This action automatically and instantly purges your Profile and all your saved Ideas/Scores from our Firestore database.
- Manual Data Deletion Request: You can also request a full data wipe by emailing us at info@santiagotacoronte.com or contact@theonething.website. We will process your request within 48 hours.
Security
I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable.
Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers.
Changes to This Policy
I may update our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new versions on this page.
