Tech companies use a Product approach. They treat every service or software component as an individual part of an offering. For example, a website is a product with multiple sub-products: Navigation, Content, Payments, Subscriptions, etc.

And then we have non-tech companies trying to jump onto the train of products and leave the ‘Project’ mentality behind. Why? Products are customer-centric and better fitted for our current society.
